After organising successful events across the world for decades and becoming intimately aware of the amount of energy consumed and waste expended, it became evident to us that in order for the events industry to survive and thrive in the future, we must be more conscious and respectful to our planet.
With that in mind, we set out to redefine the tradition of ice skating and become synonymous with the festive season in London. By applying the Ten Articles in the Terra Carta as guiding principles to the business’ sustainability actions and decisions, the founders will aim to further its partners’ sustainability awareness.
Inspired by the Terra Carta, which mandates the private sector to accelerate progress towards a more productive and sustainable future, we commit ourselves to:
We are supporting habitat restoration projects across the UK that will lead to real, positive impact on people, communities and their natural environment.
Setting a new benchmark for the industry, we are championing sustainability-led event management practices in the UK.
Decarbonisation is one of the primary goals of the event. Working with partners, we will be measuring and reporting the carbon footprint of the event each year.
"With nature, people and planet at the heart of our event, we hope you will join us for a magical ice skating experience at the UK's largest rink in a truly iconic location."
A Roadmap for Sustainability
With sustainability at its heart, the event and its founders are committed to aligning with the Terra Carta, a roadmap towards an ambitious and sustainable future for the sake of present and future generations
